DOG DAY CARE

DOG WALKING IN NEWTON ABBOT

A little bit about our Dog Walking Service

We offer group walks morning and afternoon (minimum 1 hour) . We are fully insured and walk in small groups to ensure each dog receives enough stimulation and attention during the walk.  There are some lovely places for dog walking around Newton Abbot and the surrounding area and we always have fun, paddling, swimming or just enjoying a good sniff in the woods. We also have a 12 acre field with copse and thick hedgerow, and a  small stream for the dogs to explore. The fencing is good and secure and an ideal place to have fun with the dogs.

We take great care to ensure your dog will fit in with the ‘pack’ and when we first meet there will be a short questionnaire that we go through together to ensure full understanding of you and your dog’s requirements.  The initial consultation is free of charge.

Please be aware we cannot accept entire dogs over 12 months old on group walks. or as a day boarder.

We are fully insured and are happy to walk your dog ‘off lead’ with your written consent.

Day Boarding / Half day Boarding

We also offer doggy day care – (minimum of 6 hours). Collection can be arranged between 8.30am and 9.15am, with  return  home from 3.30pm to 4.30pm depending on your location – Ipplepen, Abbotskerswell, Denbury, Ogwell or Newton Abbot.

Depending on your individual requirements your dog will join in on at least one morning walk and one afternoon walk,  (this can be increased or decreased as required)  and will enjoy some ‘down time’ during the middle of the day. Please contact us directly if you are interested in half day boarding and we can discuss your requirements.

Transportation – The ‘Paws and Boots’ Vans

For your dog’s comfort and safety the Paws and Boots vans are segregated into three compartments, all of which can be accessed seperately from outside.  Not only does this allow your dog to feel safe and secure within its own area while we travel about, it is also a great way to introduce a new member into the pack. A new dog can sometimes be a little bit wary when first introduced to the vans (there are lots of different doggy smells and can be slightly daunting).   However, we take our time, and any  hesitation usually disappears within a couple of journeys once your dog realises that a trip in the van means an exciting walk with their doggy friends!!

Both vans have non slip, easy clean flooring in place so your dog will not sit on a hard, cold or slippery surface. Rest assured, we carry plenty of clean fresh water and first aid kits on board.
